I've been wanting to write for ages. So much has happened since I last wrote and yet, now I can't think of anything. Life.
Harrison is completely weaned from the boob. He did it all on his own, very naturally. Once he got sick, he started sleeping all night and slept past his last nursing session, waking up just before his yogurt and Cheerios breakfast, so I felt it was time. I am proud to say I nursed for 14 months without the assistance of formula :)
He's been doing great since and seems to be getting plenty to eat. After a few sick days of sketchy meals and throwing up a little, he ate like a champ today, no pieces of his PB&J ended up on the floor!
Since we've all been out of commission for the last week, there has been lots of movie and tv watching, lazing on the couch, etc. I'm ready to start doing things again, but I am stalled on my current projects, waiting for some costume packages to arrive.
Harrison is definitely becoming a toddler. He toddles often, is becoming defiant and silly. He got time out 3 times yesterday for splashing in the dog water dish. He's too quick for me sometimes. I had to increase the amount of furniture around the dog dishes so Harrison can't get back there. He's starting to learn how to climb on the furniture, so he'll soon be able to reach the fireplace (which is now being blocked by the ottoman). He does love the fire.
I've been to the MoA 3 times in the last two weeks, twice with Harrison.
First trip, we brought him to the Disney store. Harry loved it. I completely forgot to bring the stroller, so he got to walk around a lot more than normal and he loved exploring all the Disney goodies. No good Frozen merch, though. All of the Elsa stuff was sold out.
The second trip, just Megan and I went. I did some shopping for valentines day.
And last week we got to go with Matt's mom and see the Pentatonix perform. Harrison and I love them. Their nighttime concert had been sold out for some time, and Harrison couldn't go to that anyway, so it was really nice being able to take him to see them at MoA. When they say 'Royals', Harrison pointed excitedly because he knew that song (they did some others we were more unfamiliar with).
Did I mention I did this while dosed with NyQuil?
