It just occurred to me that Harrison eats like a hobbit. Breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, luncheon, afternoon tea (milk), dinner, supper... occasionally a midnight snack. He's also short and has large feet for his baby size. All he's missing is excessive amounts of foot hair. Otherwise, I think Harrison is a hobbit.
Anyway. Harrison seemed to like the zoo, though it really tuckered him out. On the way to the car he pulled his burp rag over his face so it would be dark. Yes, he did this on purpose. Yes, he's done it before. He gave me grumpy looks as I transferred him from the stroller back into the carseat and was back asleep within seconds.
I think while at the zoo, his favorite exhibits were the zebra (who came right to the fence), the polar bear (who was being silly), and the fish. I liked the giraffe.
We'll be going back in the future once more of the exhibits are outside and opened up. They're still recovering from winter.
I also learned Harrison doesn't like taking a bottle from me.
Harrison tried carrots yesterday for the first time, big 5 month food change. First, I let him decide. Green beans or carrots. The decision seemed to torment him and it took him minutes to finally reach for the orange pack. Once in his mouth, Harrison regretted the decision. His face was sour and he clamped his lips shut and wouldn't let more that three tastes enter his mouth. We switched back to oatmeal and he resumed cramming the spoon in his mouth with his fist. He'll try some more carrots today, maybe it will be less of a shock.
Happy Wednesday! (It is Wednesday, right?)
