First Smiles

He's four weeks old! On Monday, Harrison will officially be one month :)

I spent yesterday at my parents' house with my mom and grandparents. We ate lunch (soup in a bread bowl from Panera, yum!) and I had other arms to take a load off of mine. I think I am going to get very strong from carrying Harrison around and from the many times I have bounced him to console his unhappiness. But he was happy at Grandma's Glamma's house. Harrison gave his first real, non-gassy, smile, and it was not reserved for me. Oh, no. He gave the most adorable grin to Grandma and I have yet to have him repeat it.

Yesterday was my first time getting Harrison ready, in the car seat and driving by myself. It was a little nerve racking. I also bathed him by myself. He's still not a fan...

He slept in the car seat and in the car the whole way there. Harrison had been up since 3:30 in the morning... little booger decided he didn't want to sleep anymore.

His sleep patterns are as follows: First stretch of the night - Great! Usually 3-4 hours straight of sleep! After middle of the night feeding, however - Time to eat every 1.5-2 hours, no more sleeping for mommy. Oh well, I'm slowly getting used to little/no sleep. I get 4-5 hours on average.

Last night- First night in his own crib in his own room! He did really well! I was the one who had a hard time sleeping, I was just so afraid he was going to wake up and fuss. But he slept great until 4 in the morning, when he decided he had slept enough and was wide awake. I eventually recruited Matt and he got Harrison settled down in the swing and slept in the living room.

Today, we're going to relax and eventually head over to Matt's parents' for dinner. I love food! I love all the food family/friends have provided us with over the last few weeks! Thank you! It helps so much!

Look at his hair! It was all standing up after I took off his hat and has such an orange tint to it!

Here's Ivy and Luca playing on the couch.

Now, I also still have a cat that needs to be adopted. I only got one hit on Craigslist and they never emailed me back. Cissy is no longer sick, but I'm afraid she's just going to keep getting UTDs when she's stressed about the baby and other cat. Here's the ad I put online. I've called 3 "No Kill" shelters so far and all are full. I'm going to make more calls come Monday.

Let me know if you want to come visit me and Harrison, we like the company! (if you're not sick, that is... the flu out there is scary. We won't be going to any more public places for awhile..)
