Timey Wimey

Life feels crazy and full of stress lately. The last few weeks have been insane!

We sold our house. In four days. I had hoped, but never thought, that it would sell so fast. We actually had two offers (after over 20 showings) and had to call highest bid. We ended up above our asking price, which is awesome! I'm excited and anxious.

Mostly anxious.

Now we need to find a place. We've seen 9 places, and nothing too great. We have two more to see tomorrow and one I'm really excited for. Please cross your fingers! As much as I appreciate my parents for offering us shelter if we have a housing gap, I'd prefer to move into a new house. But there's very few houses on the market and even less in my desired area. I want the dream (within our means, of course)!

After house shopping a couple of times, it's made me realize what my true priorities are. Location is number one, yard is number two (this is aside from just being large enough for the family). Moving is stressful, I don't want to do it again, so this is it. It has to be perfect or perfect potential.

Next day edit: we've seen two more houses and we have a bid in. We're in a multiple offer situation and we won't know until after 6 tonight (and they're still showing the house today). So, we'll see. I really like the house, but the boys would have to share a room until one is old enough to move downstairs. The yard is also smaller and sloped, but it's landscaped nicely and reminds of Hobbiton. Really nice house. I won't be heartbroken if we don't get it, but the anxiety of the waiting is getting to me.

Here- cute children:

Sam is 1!

My second baby, my little pudge, is a whole year old. It doesn't feel like it's been a year, but then, years seem so much shorter nowadays.

Sammy is feisty and opinionated. But he's also super sweet and snugly.

He loves tackling his big brother, trying to steal my phone and getting into trouble. When I do use the phrase "Sammy, no!" He turns and gives me a big grin. He knows what he's doing.

Sam likes to take naps and go to bed. I don't know how I lucked out with that one, his brother is pretty much the same. Sam does not like to be confined. We packed away his bouncy chair and he would just scream in that or the pack 'n play.

His favorite baby food is squash, but we're finally moving away from the purée and into real solids. He's got 4 teeth now! And he loves his Cheerios. Sam is also trying to copy words and uses "all done" often and he tries to say "kitty." His "words" aren't quite words yet, so I don't know wether to count them as his first.

Sam loves the cats and will crawl after them to give them squishy hugs. The cats don't appreciate it very much.

Turns out that Sam also loves cake. He dove in with his fists before I even set the plate down.

He had a bath immediately after. He was very cake covered.

Thanks to grandma for hosting! It was our house's first weekend on the market and that's a whole pile of stress in itself.

No walking yet, but he is great at crawling and pulling himself up.

St. Patrick's Day

Nymeria looks so happy.

Matching jammies!

While I said he likes naps, he still has his days where he's too silly to sleep:

He was very proud of himself.

Happy Birthday, Sammy! Love you super bunches!!
