Tummy Time

Sam can roll onto his tummy now.

Sam cannot roll back to his back. This makes him very upset as he keeps rolling and getting stuck on his tummy. It's mostly hilarious, but I used to be able to lay him down in his crib when he was sleepy and he could just go to sleep. Now, if he's still awake at all, he manages to roll over and let me know of his displeasure.

Last night, I just waited in his room until he fell asleep, flipping him back over each time he rolled to his tummy. It was pretty funny actually.

Sam is a big 5 months old! He's close to 19 lbs now and still quite long. He's fitting into his 12 mo clothing pretty well. Haha! He's my little Buddha.

He started solid foods yesterday. He's not very eager about it, but he does seem to be happy about eating. The spoon confuses him. Today, while enjoying his rice cereal, he kept desperately thrusting his thumb in his mouth as though he were searching for food from somewhere else.

We had a great weekend up north for a wedding. But we also took Harrison swimming in a pool for the first time (he loves his water wings!) and visited Nisswa. Night 1 was rough with the boys in the hotel room, but night 2 was much better.

We've been really busy with lots of family events and it's been a really good summer. I love summer and I don't want it to end. Except for Halloween. Halloween is the best.

Harrison gets to start ECFE this fall. We're doing a class together and then he'll get some practice spending time with other kids and a teacher. I don't know if he'll be able to continue it for the second session though, since I might be doing some sewing work in the spring which would clash with the class times.

My best friend from high school got engaged! Yay! I'm so excited! Congratulations, Kara and Kyle!

Next year, I really really want to do some traveling for various events. Some weddings, Costume Con (which is in Madison!), I would love to go to Vidcon in Anaheim, but that's a dream that might stay a dream. *crosses fingers that I can somehow go*

I've been really into the Myers Briggs test again the last couple of days. Every test I have ever taken labels me as INFJ, which seems scarily accurate according to most descriptions.  We are also apparently very rare. I also know I am way more introverted than I used to be. People are scary! But I did manage to go through my phone call list and get some appointments scheduled! (I have major phone anxiety and I have to be in the right frame of mind to call places). Go me! It means I get new glasses, too.

Ugh! I love my babies!
