It's one of the worst things watching your kid be unbelievably miserable with the worst cold that turns into pneumonia (and not bacterial pneumonia which can be cleared up with antibiotics).
Harrison had his third doctors appt today, a follow up after the hell of last week. I called at 8 to schedule (since we didn't need urgent care over the weekend) and they only had an 8:30. We hauled butt out of the house and made it just in time.
He's feeling much better, and is using a nebulizer multiple times a day to help with his cough (which was so bad last week, he was throwing up multiple times a day). He finally ate something last night too. Harrison has barely eaten in the last week, but he's finally willing to put food in his mouth.
Sam had two appts last week. One to check his belly button, and his two week checkup. So five doctors visits within the last week. Ugh.
Now Sam has the cold. A little stuffy nose, yucky cough and probably scratchy throat (he keeps clearing it). I'm watching closely for a fever or wheezing that's not just from his boogery nose. I'd really rather not go back to the dr though. A sick newborn is a scary thing. I just hope he can sleep tonight.
Matt and my mom caught it as well. I am yet lucky, but I rarely avoid these things. I'll probably get hit with it soon and I get hit hard when I get a cold. *gulp*
Maybe next year we'll actually make it to Easter.
Please send us good vibes of health! This house could really use get-well thoughts.
