Matt and I had our first real date in a year. We went out for dinner and a movie. It was so nice! Matts mom watched Harrison and we were able to go see Frozen (again, for me) and then to Kahn's. Kahn's is so gooood, I could eat 50 of those sweet rolls. Now I'm hungry...
Like I predicted, Harrison has continued to wean on his own. He dropped two nursings in the last week. He only nurses once a day now, around 5-6 in the morning. Still won't drink milk, but he'll have it with Cheerios. He's also drinking calcium fortified orange juice, eating cottage cheese and cheese sticks. Plenty of dairy.
We attempted to take care of my parents' dog. She didn't do well here, it's so busy adding a third animal to a house with a baby. She went back home with Megan. Harrison and I are helping out and visiting ivy while Megan's at work.
Today we got stuck while trying to get in the driveway. The snowplow had cut off the end with a pile of snow. I thought it was still thin enough for my car to make it, but I guess not. Luckily, the mailman drove by just in time and helped me back my car back out. I don't know what I would have done otherwise. I wasn't strong enough, no neighbors were around and I couldn't leave Harrison in the car or leave my car halfway in the street. A pox on winter!
I've finally found something that distracts Harrison for longer than 30 seconds. He loves music that has a techno feel. He likes the Pentatonix, an accapella group on YouTube. Also, Gangnam Style. He just stares at the screen. No reaction. Just a blank stare. And he'll watch the whole video like that. My silly boy.
