Feeling alright and working hard.
I made it more than a week without getting sick! Go me! I, however, do still have morning sickness.. woo...
In other news, Con is next weekend! Holy costumes, Batman! I have been a sewing mad-woman, taking many snack breaks, and trying to get all these costumes done for next week! One week! I will be on my feet for four days, taking naps in the afternoon so I can stay up for the party rooms! This year, there is an Orange Party Room! What?! Celebrating orange! Orange food! Orange drinks! I don't know why, but I am so excited for this! Exclamation points!!!
I had three very vivid dreams about con the other night. No, not about costumes this time. All about the hotel room. One: We were on the 13th floor (or so Matt called it, because the Sheraton has no 13th floor, but skips to the 14th, but he thinks that's silly, so he calls it the 13th). Two (my fave): there were hotel cancellations, so our room got moved to the short tower. Three: We were high up.. very high up :( So, we shall see next Thursday how this falls.
I got a maternity swimsuit today. Super cute! Fits me now, with room to grow! I plan on bringing it to join the mermaids next weekend :)
Hooray babies and con! Next year, I will bring my baby to con! In costume! Any more ideas on what said baby should wear?

Week 15
Hot pockets should be bigger.
That being said, I am feeling tremendously better. I have yucky moments occasionally, but its usually because I am hungry.. or because I ate too much..
My last OB appointment went really well and we got to finally hear the heartbeat. Things seem to be progressing well and I have my next big OB/Ultrasound appointment on July 20th (this is the time when we will likely find out what we are having!)
Fathers day was quiet, and though it started out with being queasy, a trip to PF Changs was what the baby and I needed. I never thought the green beans and spicy sauce could be sooo good. PF Changs is a great place to order a bunch of appetizers and share instead of getting full meals, they are so good. And then you have room for their mini dessert, like cheesecake!
It's weird when you crave something so much that you start dreaming about food.
Also, I am now showing!
I got really giddy the other day when I looked in the mirror and there is a definite bump. Bellydancing at CONvergence will definitely be interesting :)

Week 14
Just as I think I am about to get better, this week happens.
Last week was pretty great! I started to feel less nauseous and I had a lot more energy.
Well, I still feel more energetic, which makes the new wave of nausea more infuriating. I was able to spend the last two days doing work, but have decided to take today off. I feel very ill, again, and too much movement makes it worse. I would like to be up, working on the many sewing projects that have to be finished by July 5th, but no, I am stuck in bed again to keep what little food I have managed to eat down, as I don't want to lose any more weight.
yeah, not been the best day..

Week 13
Last week was very hard to get through. It was the worst of the morning sickness, leaving me violently ill Saturday morning, calling off a major sewing day because moving was horrible.
Well, they say things always get worse before they get better. Yesterday was the first day I could call "good" in a long, long time (6 weeks long...) I did laundry and made dinner, two things I had completely slacked on over the last couple weeks.
Now, I am going to give you far too much information about the first trimester of pregnancy. Don't let it put you off if you are one of my friends who wants children someday, they are not complaints (well, except for morning sickness..) but merely odd observations.
The First Trimester: TMI
* Morning (all-day) sickness is the worst thing ever, and 75% of pregnant women get it to some extent.
* I smell EVERYTHING.
*My boobs are HUGE and feel so weird and heavy, and they're just going to get bigger.
*My belly had become very hairy, I am like a gorilla.
*My left leg likes to discontinue working occasionally.
*They say the first trimester ruins your libido. This is a lie. It does the opposite, you just feel too sick to do anything about it.
*My back makes me look like a monster. A bumpy, bumpy, bacne monster.
*I can feel my stomach muscles stretch occasionally, it is a weird sensation.
*My wedding bands still fit, but that won't be for much longer.
*I had acid reflux for the first time last weekend, very burny.
*I constantly feel like there is something stuck in my throat.
*Sucking on candy/mints actually helped nausea and made me feel better.. until I developed a horrible canker sore under my tongue..
*Your dreams get weird. I can actually remember more details of dreams than before I was pregnant. I've only had two baby dreams though- one where I had my baby and was breast feeding, and one where I was still preggers and at baby shower that looked more like a wedding reception.
*I've also had more nightmares.
*"I'm hungry. But only for only for this one thing.. We don't have that one thing?" *sad face* The next thing I know, Matt's in the car driving to the store/Chipotle/Caribou. Wonderful man :)
*Hot chocolate is insanely delicious.
*Actually, if I get to eat what I am really craving, it truly does taste like the best thing I have ever eaten. Every time.
Now I am actually hungry. Mmm.. cereal... nomnomnom
